Anyway to the main news
Nintendo is going to make a few games on smartphones with the help of DeNA.
In a press conference, it is revealed that there will be a partnership of DeNA developing games with Nintendo IP on the smartphone, not on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
Also they will be developing a new online membership service with this company as well, coming out later on this year this autumn/fall (maybe the replacement for Club Nintendo).
Personally I think this is excellent, Nintendo have been the underdogs lately with their latest home console the Wii U making profit last year, if they broaden their horizons to other platforms except their exclusives. They are adapting so they can keep on going in the future. I have been hoping that Nintendo do this because they seemed to be at the days of old and it looked like they were going to be left behind but they are changing to the surrounding and it is benefiting the company that saved video gaming, from the same fate as Nintendo.
